747 - Kent

Ok it's not a 747, but it was Iron Maiden's private jet.

I had no prior knowledge that they were in Sydney at the time nor did I plan my flight to coincide with them being there. But coincidentally when I landed at Sydney airport and while my plane was still taxiing to the gate, a relatively smaller plane with colourful paintjob and the words "Iron Maiden" "Somewhere Back In Time Tour 2008" appeared in my sight from my little window seat. I was so surprised and all I could think of was WTF for a moment(not wednesday, thursday, friday, my flight was on a sunday). However, thanks to the captain repeatedly announcing "please switch off all mobile phones......", I did not manage to snap a photo. Bastard.

I later confirmed that Maiden did have a gig in Sydney on the same day and so that was indeed their private jet.

This is my first live sighting of an artist's private jet.
