A Day in the Life

Charles Darwin film 'too controversial for religious America'

A movie about Charles Darwin!!! I just discovered it today! Oh, what a joy! I doubt it'll be historically accurate but I'm sure I'll enjoy it nonetheless. Plus it stars Jennifer Connelly. How can I not love it?

Poor Americans, ignorant enough as it is, will now have to suffer more! Ignorance brings ignorance, I guess. Just like how the rich get richer. This is my favourite part of that news article.
"The film has sparked fierce debate on US Christian websites, with a typical comment dismissing evolution as "a silly theory with a serious lack of evidence to support it despite over a century of trying"."

I love it when creationists argue that natural selection lacks evidence. I suppose there are millions alive today that saw God created the world in 6 days? Surely there must be! They can't all be hypocrites, can they?

Oh, I'm too lazy to find a Youtube trailer for you, but there's one in that article.

I'm looking forward to it!

Across The Universe

I watched this movie two days ago. Absolutely brilliant.
For those who don't know, it's a rock 'N' roll musical based around the music of The Beatles. I haven't yet seen Mamma Mia, but I know The Beatles kicks ABBA's ass anyday. So I would think that I'll like this one more.

Most of the covers are obviously not as good as the originals, but I thought Bono did a marvellous job with I Am A Walrus. Here's what I found on youtube. Oh and I'm now addicted to the song.

And here's Eddie Izzard playing Mr Kite with awesome, cool rhyming by Bono before it.

How can a movie with character names such as Prudence, Rita, Lucy, Jude and Dr. Robert go wrong? There're even characters meant to reflect Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix!

In other news, drivers who stop at green light amazes me. Not those who refuse to move but literally those that come to a halt at green lights. But at least they aren't as dangerous as those who run red lights, even though it does get frustrating when you're behind them and travelling at 80km/h and weren't expecting to stop.

Back to listening to I Am A Walrus. Oh and Strawberry Fields Forever too!! Psychedelic!!!

Factory Girl

Just a compilation for those of you who feel the same as I do on material culture. And also to remind me many others feel the same too and have expressed themselves in books and music and even wild adventures.

Pink Floyd - Money(Live at Live 8)

Perfect song choice for the occasion don't you think?

Blur - Country House

A Humourous take on Greed.

The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger
Brilliant.

Into The Wild
The book by Jon Krakauer
Or the movie by Sean Penn(based on the book)

And perhaps countless more that slipped through my mind.

But for the sake of including one of my favourite bands and because the song title reminds me of the social circle that directly or indirectly produced/influenced some of my favourite stars(ironic I know), bands and songs, I shall include this.

The Rolling Stones - Factory Girl
