The Good, The Bad & The Queen

Do you believe in the saying "You try so hard the good turned bad"?

Ok, fine, the saying is by me, still, I think every word of it holds true.

It's meant for "wannabes" and "try-hards". Sometimes they try so hard to be "liked", "cool" or "popular" that the reverse happens.

Here, there's an example on my mind.
Sometimes, a vocalist tries so hard to keep in tune to impress the audience of their vocal range and doesn't want to be heard "going off" that they have forgotten the purpose and emotion of the song. Hence, singing emotionless except for that "I'm trying to sing in tune" aka constipated face, making the song seem rather empty or meaningless.

I'm sure there are many examples you can think off. But I can't, for now, at least.

I'll leave you with a song from Damon Albarn(Gorillaz, Blur)'s latest, as of now still unnamed band.

80's Life from the album The Good, The Bad & The Queen, a concept album about London.

Give piss a chance.

TY
