The Weight

Some quotes by Thomas Edison.

"The three great essentials to achieve anything worth while are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense."
O', where for art thou common sense?

"Restlessness and discontent are the necessities of progress."

The reason why most people don't read but when they do they can't stop:
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work."
It looks like hard work to get through a long article/book but the insights gained is insurmountable.

"There is no expedient to which a man will not go to avoid the labor of thinking."
Sigh. He's right.

"As a cure for worrying, work is better than whiskey"
Now, if only I study every time I'm worried.

"Hell, there are no rules here-- we're trying to accomplish something."
I like this. I'm quite the anarchist.
